Job Description:
The Registered Nurse in the Labor & Delivery unit will provide care for patients in a high-acuity labor environment. This role includes managing patients with preeclampsia, preterm labor, and providing postpartum care. The nurse will also assist with C-sections and recovery.
Responsibilities:

• Care for high-risk and low-intervention laboring patients
• Manage antepartum, OB triage/ED, postpartum, and infants
• Perform IV starts, cervical checks, phlebotomy, magnesium sulfate administration, and blood administrations
• Circulate during C-sections

Requirements:

• BLS, NRP certification required
• 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience, preferably in a Level 3 or higher NICU
• EPIC charting experience
• Must care for couplets and be comfortable with normal newborn nursery patients
• Completion of a nursing education program approved by the Board of Nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing
