Overview

Join a dedicated healthcare team providing compassionate and expert care in Labor and Delivery, Recovery, and Post-Partum units. This role involves direct patient care, individualized assessment, and collaboration with physicians to ensure optimal outcomes for mothers and newborns in a regional healthcare setting in the Pacific Northwest.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and assist with care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn patients, including support during c-sections and family education on infant and self-care.
  • Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with current standards and policies.
  • Maintain professional interactions with patients, families, colleagues, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Monitor fetal heart rate and uterine activity using continuous electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) and palpation, providing interventions aligned with AWHONN and ACOG guidelines.
  • Adapt to stressful situations with flexibility and organization, responding promptly to obstetrical emergencies.
  • Contribute to departmental projects and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through educational programs, literature review, in-service meetings, and workshops.
  • Be available for on-call duties with the ability to report within 60 minutes.
Education
  • Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Licensure and Certifications
  • Active RN license or eligible compact license.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications.
  • AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification.
  • STABLE certification within 12 months as required.
Experience
  • Minimum of one year recent experience in Labor and Delivery or Newborn Nursery preferred.

  • Communicate courteously and respectfully with patients, guests, and staff.
