Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a CA RN license, at least 2 years of L&D experience, and a willingness to work across multiple perinatal care areas.

Details

• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
• Labor and Delivery unit with approximately 1,450 births per year
• Large midwifery practice supporting physiologic birth with a low C-section and epidural rate
• Unit features water labor and water births, birth slings, intermittent monitoring, epidurals, and C-section circulating responsibilities
• Baby Friendly designated unit with couplet care model
• Level 1 nursery responsibilities including stabilization and/or transfer
• Block scheduling available when staffing allows
• Must be willing to work across all areas: Labor and Delivery, Circulating C-sections, Recoveries, and Postpartum

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring
• Minimum 2 years of recent, relevant L&D experience including Circulating C-sections, Recoveries, and Postpartum
• Experience with Level 1 nursery and lactation is desired
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
• Copies of all certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
• Former employees or travelers must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning in a travel capacity
• Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved for the duration of the assignment
