Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications required
• AWHONN or EFM certification (fetal monitoring) required
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital or L&D RN experience
• Strong team-player attitude, flexibility, and ability to work in a fast-paced obstetrics environment
• Preferred: prior travel nursing experience, PACU exposure, Meditech EMR experience

Responsibilities (Labor & Delivery Nurse / L&D RN)

• Provide comprehensive maternal-newborn nursing care during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period
• Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, D&C, hysterectomy, postpartum tubal ligation, cerclage placement, and external cephalic versions
• Perform fetal monitoring and maternal assessment using EFM/AWHONN-guided protocols and advanced monitoring equipment (Centricity, GE monitors)
• Document accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (Meditech EMR)
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and multidisciplinary teams for safe, evidence-based patient care
• Support high-risk OB cases with critical thinking, perinatal nursing skills, and compassionate patient education
