Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Nashville, TN, requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and active AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM certification.

Details
  • Labor & Delivery unit located within a Women's and Children's Building in Nashville, TN
  • 12-bed unit with a 1:2 patient ratio
  • Unit is staffed with RNs, a unit secretary, and OR techs
  • Procedures performed include vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&C, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, and tub labor
  • Documentation systems: CPN and Meditach
  • Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
  • Schedule includes 3 weekend shifts and 1 on-call shift per assignment period
  • Travelers are floated first per unit floating policy
Requirements
  • Active TN or Compact RN license required
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition, AAP card), and AWHONN Intermediate (not advanced) or CEFM/NCCEFM
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
  • Experience in care of the laboring patient, immediate newborn care post-delivery, and circulating/recovering C-section patients
  • No certification may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
  • US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
  • One professional reference required (two required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position
  • Scrubs are provided by the candidate, not the facility; approved colors are ceil blue, navy blue, or gray
  • Shared decision-making is part of the patient experience expectations on this unit
