Job Description:
The Registered Nurse in the Labor/Delivery unit is responsible for providing comprehensive care to pregnant women and newborns. The nurse will manage labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum processes, including functioning as a transition nurse for newborn care.
Responsibilities:

• Triage incoming patients and assess their condition
• Manage labor, delivery, and postpartum care
• Administer medications and titrate drips such as Pitocin
• Collaborate with on-call OB and anesthesia teams
• Document patient care using the EPIC charting system

Requirements:

• Valid RN license
• Minimum of 1 year of L&D experience with LDRP training
• Certification in ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
• Ability to read own fetal monitoring strips
