RN Labor Delivery
Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Labor & Delivery Nurse at St. Francis Medical Center, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between CHI Health and Dignity Health, you'll guide patients through the labor and childbirth process, focusing on the safety of the mother and baby, with kindness and compassion.
- Triage walk-ins to determine if a patient is in labor, water is broken, false alarm, etc.
- Support pregnant patients in labor including induction, epidural assistance (if needed), general pain management and fetal monitoring.
- Educate patients on various interventions or procedures, medications (name and purpose), exams, and labor stages.
- Assess newborns and provide care.
- Communicate with the care management team, including anesthesiologist, physician or midwife, patient and family.
Incentives: up to $10,000 sign on bonus, up to $10,000 education assistance (must have graduated within 5 years)

Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active RN licensure in the state of Nebraska
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 5 months of hire
Where You'll Work
The Family Birth Center at St. Francis Medical Center is a 15 Labor, Delivery, Recover, and Postpartum Unit (single room maternity care). We are a Level II Perinatal Center and care for patients from antepartum, labor, deliver and postpartum including providing mother-baby care

Today our hospital is a regional referral center with more than 100 physicians and more than 1,100 employees working together to build a healthier community. Our goal is to provide patients with high-quality medical care close to home where they can be supported by their family friends and community.
