RN - Labor and Delivery (L&D)
Hard-stop: labor and post-partum experience is required. Will allow 4x12 upon request. Ratios 1:3. Orientation: 36 hrs. Years of experience required: 2. First-timers accepted: Certs required: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP. Certs preferred: AWHONN Advanced. Block scheduling: No. Will this traveler need to float between like units? Yes. Locals accepted: No. Pending license accepted: No. RTO restrictions: RTO must be included at time of submission. Guaranteed hours: Facility is able to call off once per two week pay period.

Special procedures/unit details: Do not pass the clinician if they are missing the required skills or experience. OK to screen if it is a strong candidate. Strong precepting skills is a plus. Travel compliance: SSN, DOB, RTO must be included at time of submission. Holidays: Traveler must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. Can only submit to 1 location within the region. Requires specific amount of experience (ex: 1 or 2 yrs required for submission). Valid CA license in hand. Local radius: 50 mile radius rule applies. Local rule: Accepted at lower BR. Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospitals nearby. Copy of certifications. Specific charting experience: Epic. Return staff policy: 3 months to return as traveler. References required: 2 references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years during the compliance process and prior to start. Can include charge RNs/lead. Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby your contracted facility. Travelers' refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours. If required for the assignment, client agrees to supply providers with communication devices (i.e. cell phone, pager, etc.) needed to perform the duties as assigned at no cost to provider or agency. If client does not provide a mobile phone required for the assignment, client agrees to pay agency monthly, for all work-related cell phone use by each provider, up to a maximum amount of $50.00 as invoiced by agency. Providers will be responsible for submitting monthly cell phone bill directly to agency. Housing: Please have your traveler look into housing options in the area, as options may be limited. Modules: Modules are non-billable, average 16 hours spent. Over 20 hours requires PM approval. Modules are completed pre-start, and annually. Time spent on modules is self-reported, completion is recorded in Workramp transcripts.
