Job Summary:

Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a setting that champions best practices and exceptional customer service. This role fosters relationship-based care and upholds the highest professional nursing standards guided by the ANA Code of Ethics, relevant Nurse Practice Acts, and regulatory requirements. Acute care areas include medical, surgical, emergency, intensive care, childbirth, pediatric, operating room, perianesthesia, endoscopy, and cardiac catheterization units.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term objectives.
• Stay current with product and practice changes through ongoing education, applying knowledge to promote cost-effective care.
• Demonstrate expertise by making appropriate patient care assignments based on acuity and technical needs, and continuously enhance skills through evidence-based practice.
• Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills with patients, families, physicians, and colleagues, embodying core values such as respect, integrity, collaboration, empathy, and courage.
• Maintain a therapeutic environment by minimizing noise, supporting healthcare students, and fostering positive relationships within the care team.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or, if unaccredited, a minimum of five years acute care nursing experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in accelerated MSN programs accepted.
• Completion and maintenance of area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications.

Licensure:

Active Registered Nurse license as required by the state nursing board.

Work Shift:

Third shift, full-time (36 hours per week).

This position is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
