Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse

• Provide safe, compassionate care throughout all phases of labor and delivery
• Monitor maternal and fetal health, interpreting vital signs and responding to complications
• Administer medications and manage pain relief, including epidurals
• Support patients and their families during labor, delivery, and postnatal recovery
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthetists, pediatricians, and support staff
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Respond swiftly to obstetric emergencies
• Offer education on postnatal care, breastfeeding, and discharge instructions

Requirements of the Travel Nurse

• Active North Carolina or Compact RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in a Labor and Delivery setting
