Job Summary: Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a supportive environment that upholds professional nursing standards and fosters relationship-based care. This role follows guidelines such as the ANA Code of Ethics, regional Nurse Practice Acts, and regulatory standards to deliver exceptional care in labor and delivery settings.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage time and resources, prioritizing tasks to ensure efficient patient care.
• Apply specialized knowledge and skills to make appropriate patient care assignments based on acuity and technical needs.
• Engage in continuous learning and evidence-based practice to enhance clinical expertise.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients, families, healthcare providers, and colleagues.
• Maintain a therapeutic and safe environment by adhering to safety protocols, privacy standards, and noise reduction practices.
• Participate actively in professional development, leadership opportunities, and nursing councils.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure outstanding patient experiences and community engagement.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent experience with at least five years of acute care nursing if from a non-accredited program.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in an accelerated MSN program is acceptable.
• Completion and maintenance of area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications.

Licensure and Certifications:

• Current active Registered Nurse license as required by the regional nursing board.

Full-time, night shift (3rd shift), 36 hours per week.

This position is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
