The staff of Arrowhead Regional Medical Center Maternal Child Services believes in and demonstrates their philosophy of care through every action they take. Every year, our team shares in the excitement of thousands of births. While most are uncomplicated, it's nice to know if mom is having complications, ARMC's Maternal/Child services provide a higher-level of care. ARMC L&D Department is one of the State's busiest and top care Department.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Write initial nursing histories, assess patients' conditions, develop individual care plans, and evaluate outcomes of patient care according to accepted standards of practice; consult with other specialists as required and adjust nursing care process as necessary.
• Document patient care from admission through discharge incorporating the Nursing Process.
• Administer and document medications with a thorough knowledge of types, dosages, drug interactions and incompatibilities.
• Practice safety measures in all activities associated with patient care.
• Support the mission and vision of ARMC. Consistently practice excellent customer service.
• Teach, delegate, and direct both professional and non-professional nursing staff and interpret the needs of each patient to all persons participating in patient care.
• Maintain current knowledge relating to new developments and therapeutic measures for total patient care.
• Participate in the development of nursing policies and procedures and Quality Assurance activities. Follow all Nursing Departmental and Administrative Operations manual policies and procedures.
• Serve as patient advocate.
• Attend department in-services and staff development programs.
• Initiate emergency measures such as Code Blue and Code Red.
• Maintain and protect all patients' rights to privacy and confidentiality.
• Perform related duties as assigned or requested.

Per Diem: Ability to work weekdays & weekends - no weekly guarantee
COVID Vaccination & Booster encouraged, but declinations accepted & may be covid tested 2x/week at traveler/agency cost
Requirement description :

• 2+ years of current L&D experience - Required
• By submitting your Clinician, you attest that your Clinician will obtain the MAB certificate compliant with AB508 prior to start
• EPIC experience - encouraged
• Acute experience while FTE at an acute facility - required
