RN - Labor and Delivery (L&D)

Shift Details: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM, 3 shifts per week, 36 scheduled hours.

Job Order Details: Start date 06/08/2026, end date 09/05/2026, duration 13 weeks.

Shift: 8hr Days, 8x5.

Description: Days, Monday-Friday, 5x8s, 7:00am-4:00pm with variable weekend call coverage based on department needs. Call requirement is not eligible for call pay as this position is 24/7 responsibility and a requirement of the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in nursing preferred.
• Experience: Minimum five years of experience in obstetrical nursing with demonstrated leadership abilities required. Evidence of continued professional growth and knowledge of new trends and developments in nursing and patient care. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Licensure and/or Certification: Current licensure to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts required. BLS & ACLS healthcare provider required. NRP required. In patient OB certification preferred.

Leadership and Operations:

• Oversee 24 hour operations of Labor and Delivery and Perinatal Education units.
• Ensure optimal staffing, skill mix, and resource allocation to meet patient care needs.
• Maintain and manage department schedules, staffing plans, and timecards.
• Lead daily shift huddles to align teams on patient care priorities and operational plans.
• Serve as Charge Nurse when working clinically.
