About the Position

Our client is seeking a CDL A Driver for a position in Middletown, Connecticut. This role involves driving wide loads with a focus on both driving and working with trailers.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $29 per hour
• Overtime: After 40 hours
• Schedule: Monday – Friday
• Start Time: 5 – 7 AM
• Average Work Hours: 9 - 10 hours per day

Job Details

• Route Type: Local
• Freight: Wide Loads
• Equipment: Automatic Tractors
• Handling: 25% driving, 75% working with blocking and unblocking trailers
• Coverage Area: Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York (not the boroughs)
• Stops: 3-4 stops per day

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CDL A vehicles safely and efficiently
• Handle wide loads and ensure proper blocking and unblocking of trailers
• Complete daily routes within the assigned geographic area
• Maintain communication with dispatch regarding any issues or delays

Minimum Requirements

• Valid CDL A 
• 1+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable CDL driving experience
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years)
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
• Experience driving oversized/wide loads
