Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring active L&D experience and advanced fetal monitoring certification.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week travel contract

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA only), Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor
• Minimum of 1 year of L&D experience required; 2–5 years preferred
• Level 1 L&D experience required
• Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Full date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assessing and managing assigned L&D patients, documenting nursing interventions, administering medications, and initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products
• Collaborates with physicians during patient exams and minor diagnostic procedures, and coordinates care with support staff through delegation
• Educates patients and families on care plans and hospital procedures, and makes referrals to appropriate personnel as needed
• Prior travelers who have worked at this facility may return after a 6-month separation period if they have reached their maximum 26-week cumulative tenure (one contract plus one extension)
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon acceptance of an offer — compliance deadlines are firm and non-negotiable
