Labor And Delivery Nurse Manager
We are seeking an experienced RN Manager of Labor and Delivery to lead a busy L&D department in Davie, FL. This leadership role oversees approximately 27 FTEs and supports up to 1,500 births annually, along with a 20-bed postpartum unit and newborn nursery. This is a high-impact position ideal for nurse leaders who thrive in obstetrics and maternal-child services.
Responsibilities
- Direct, plan, and evaluate operations for Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Nursery.
- Ensure compliance with state, Joint Commission, CMS, and AHCA regulations.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and departmental performance.
- Collaborate with physicians, staff, and administration to drive patient safety and outcomes.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop nursing staff while fostering a culture of teamwork.
- Oversee patient experience, service excellence, and quality initiatives within Women's Services.
Qualifications
- Active Florida RN license or Compact license.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current BLS certification (or within 30 days of hire).
- Current ACLS certification (or within 30 days of hire).
- Current NRP certification (or within 90 days of hire).
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery management experience.
Preferred
- BSN or higher degree in Nursing.
- STABLE certification (within 60 months).
- Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring (within 60 months).
