CDL Driver - Trainee - GIF Logistics

Driver Trainee (Class A CDL) for Amazon Freight Partner Compensation: 18.00 to $24.00 per hour + benefits Local-Home Daily, No-touch freight Benefits: Healthcare, Dental and Vision, Retirement, PTO, Employee Assistance Program, and Safety/Performance Bonus. Location: Bordentown, New Jersey GIF Logistics, Inc is hiring CDL Driver Trainees to support the Amazon Freight Partner program. We have partnered with the Amazon Career Choice program to offer excellent entry-level truck driving training to new Commercial Drivers License Class A (CDL-A) holders. We'll help you transition both professionally and financially into your new career. Amazon Career Choice applicants must have completed a minimum of 160 hours of CDL-A Training and meet Amazons rigorous safety Standards. You will be paid $18.00 per hour during the training period. Once the new driver training is successfully completed, the hourly pay will be adjusted to industry standards. GIF Logistics is a local small business with the benefits of a large company. • Haul loads (primarily no-touch freight) using state-of-the-art equipment and technology
• Drive local and regional routes that have you home after every shift
• Work a minimum of 35 hours per week with opportunities for additional shifts and overtime after 40 hours.

  • Basic qualifications:
    • Be 21 years of age or older
    • Must possess a CDL-A driver's license
    • Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
    • Able to speak, read, write, and comprehend English
    • Must satisfy Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) requirements imposed by the DOT
    • Must have a positive Drive-A-Check (DAC) Report
    • Pass a DOT-required drug screen
    • Able to learn and use handheld technology devices and apps associated with work assignments. Preferred qualifications:
      • 1 + years of experience using handheld technology devices
      • 1 + years of experience using smartphone applications such as GPS
      • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
