Job Description:
The Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery provides care for a variety of pregnant patients, including those with high-risk conditions, in a unit that features 10 labor/delivery beds, a triage area, and an antepartum section. The RN will manage patients in labor and delivery, including couplet care, and float to postpartum as needed. This role requires proficiency with EPIC charting and the ability to handle complex obstetric cases.
Responsibilities:

• Provide care for antepartum, labor, and postpartum patients
• Manage high-acuity labor patients, including preeclampsia and preterm labor
• Perform IV starts, cervical checks, phlebotomy, and administer medications
• Circulate during C-sections and provide recovery care

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• Experience with EPIC and Level 3 or higher labor and delivery units
• Completion of a board-approved nursing education program
