Required Skills:

• Valid RN license in Texas or a compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (AHA only)
• Certified in NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or AWHONN Intermediate FHM course
• Minimum 1 year of experience in labor and delivery or similar clinical setting
• Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care independently
• Strong communication skills to educate and collaborate with patients, families, and team members
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex emotional and cultural needs of patients

Nice to Have Skills:

• Perinatal RN Residency or recent experience in a perinatal setting
• Leadership or mentorship experience
• Bilingual skills for enhanced patient communication

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• At least one year of relevant labor and delivery experience
• Proven ability to handle high patient acuity with professionalism

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to work dayshift (7AM - 7PM) with weekend rotation every third weekend
• Ability to maintain patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 as assigned
• Successful completion of new nurse orientation and annual competency validations
• Travel reimbursement, licensure, certification, and other related expenses covered when applicable
