$500 CONTRACT COMPLETION BONUS
Opportunity:
RN - L&D
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts: 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM or 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Weekend rotation every 4th weekend
• Holiday expectations every other holiday
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating to other units
• 2 years LDRP experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring
• Patient ratios: 1:1 laboring, 1:2 active labor, 1:3 couplets
• Care for patients 32 weeks and above, majority are lower risk
• Common conditions include hypertension, magnesium administration, medication management for substance abuse, epidurals, elevated BMI, diabetes
• Required skills include cervical exams, amnio infusions, epidurals, fetal monitoring, IV starts/management, Pitocin, baby catching/receiving, APGAR, basic breastfeeding education
• Must be comfortable with all aspects of post-partum care from transition to discharge for mom and baby
• Handle post-women's surgeries (preferred experience)
• Scrubs provided
• Free parking available
• 1-2 days unit orientation depending on comfort level
• EMR system: EPIC (preferred), IV Pump: Alaris, Med dispensing: Pyxis, Monitors: QS Centricity
• Schedule made 6 weeks at a time, received 2 weeks prior to schedule beginning
Facility:
This 131-bed healthcare facility operates as a Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center, providing comprehensive maternal and newborn care services. The labor and delivery unit features 12 LDRP beds, 2 triage rooms, 2 operating rooms, and a 10-bed Level II NICU, averaging 60-80 births per month. The facility offers 24/7 support including anesthesia on call for L&D, neonatal nurse practitioners, respiratory therapy, hospitalists, and lactation consultants during the day. The unit is well-staffed with 2 technicians, charge nurses who take patients, and phlebotomy services available.
