Job specification

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a fast-paced and high-acuity setting.
• Monitor maternal and fetal conditions through continuous assessment, fetal monitoring, and timely interventions.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and epidurals as per hospital protocols.
• Assist physicians and midwives with deliveries, cesarean sections, and obstetric procedures.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Respond swiftly to emergency situations such as fetal distress, hemorrhage, or preterm labor.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with hospital policies and industry regulations.

Candidate requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Active Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• National Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics (within 90 days of hire).
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
