Job Description
Position Overview: Join a dedicated healthcare team providing compassionate and expert care in Labor and Delivery, Recovery, and Post-Partum settings. This role involves direct patient care, individualized assessment, and collaboration with physicians to ensure optimal outcomes for mothers and newborns. The position requires flexibility to assist in Acute Care, Outpatient, and Emergency Departments as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and assist with care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn patients, including support during c-sections and family education on infant and self-care.
- Adhere to current medication administration standards and maintain accurate documentation.
- Maintain professional interactions with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Monitor fetal heart rate and uterine activity using continuous electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) and palpation, providing interventions based on AWHONN and ACOG guidelines.
- Respond effectively to obstetrical emergencies and function well under stressful conditions.
- Participate in departmental projects and continuous performance improvement activities.
- Commit to ongoing professional development through educational programs, literature review, and workshops.
- Be available for on-call duties with the ability to report within 60 minutes.
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Active RN license or eligible compact license.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate EFM.
- Completion of STABLE and other mandated classes within 12 months.
- At least one year of recent Labor and Delivery/Newborn Nursery experience preferred.
- Maintain all regulatory requirements and certifications.
- Demonstrate punctuality and reliability in work attendance.
- Exhibit respectful, courteous communication with patients, guests, and staff.
