Engineering Manager / Technical Delivery Lead
Compensation: $110,000 – $135,000 + Growth Opportunity
Location: Remote (U.S. Preferred)
Type: Full-Time

We are a startup environment with a small, highly collaborative team. We move quickly, work directly with customers, and expect team members to take ownership well beyond a narrow job description.
We are looking for an ambitious, hands‑on Engineering Manager / Technical Delivery Lead who can help scale our delivery operations while remaining deeply involved in execution.
This is not a “people manager only” role. We need a technical operator who can lead engineering delivery, coordinate projects, support infrastructure, improve QA processes, and help our team execute at a higher level.
What You’ll Do
Engineering & Delivery Leadership
- Lead day-to-day engineering execution across multiple client projects
- Coordinate sprint planning, prioritization, timelines, and releases
- Work directly with developers to unblock technical challenges
- Ensure projects move efficiently from requirements through deployment
- Improve delivery consistency, documentation, and operational processes
Client & Internal Coordination
- Serve as a bridge between leadership, engineering, and customers
- Participate in customer meetings and technical discussions
- Help clarify requirements and translate business needs into actionable tasks
- Provide project updates and communicate risks proactively
Technical Oversight
- Support application architecture and technical decision‑making
- Oversee AWS infrastructure, deployments, monitoring, and operational reliability
- Assist with troubleshooting production issues and deployment pipelines
- Contribute hands‑on technically when needed (debugging, code review, small feature work, scripting, etc.)
QA & Operational Excellence
- Improve QA workflows and release processes
- Coordinate application testing and user acceptance testing
- Help establish scalable engineering standards and documentation
- Drive accountability and execution across projects
What We’re Looking For
Required
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in startup or fast‑paced environments
- Demonstrated experience leading technical delivery, coordinating cross‑functional projects, and operating with high ownership in small teams
- Strong understanding of modern web application development
- Experience managing AWS infrastructure and cloud environments
- Ability to balance technical execution with operational leadership
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working directly with customers and non‑technical stakeholders
- Highly self‑motivated with a strong ownership mentality
Preferred
- Experience in startups or small engineering teams
- Full‑stack development experience
- DevOps / CI/CD experience
- Experience working with AI/ML integrations or modern AI tooling
- Familiarity with Agile or lightweight sprint management processes
- Experience scaling engineering processes in a growing company
Important Notes About This Role
This is a hands‑on leadership role. Candidates should be comfortable balancing technical execution, delivery coordination, infrastructure oversight, QA ownership, and customer communication in a fast‑moving startup environment.
This role is best suited for someone who enjoys building systems, improving operational execution, and taking ownership in an environment with high autonomy and visibility.

Within the first 6 months, this role should:
- Reduce CEO involvement in day‑to‑day project management and delivery coordination
- Improve engineering execution and delivery consistency
