Key Responsibilities

• Preconfigure circuit ports and logical cross-connections in advance of migrations.
• Perform remote logical grooms across DWDM, SONET, OTN, and MPLS transport layers.
• Validate circuit migrations and confirm zero-impact transitions.
• Partner with Network Planners to resolve design discrepancies before and during migrations.
• Troubleshoot alarms, latency issues, and discrepancies during cutovers.
• Safely decommission old paths after successful migration.
• Maintain detailed documentation of grooming and migration processes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in circuit grooming and logical migrations in live carrier networks.
• 3+ years working with transport systems (Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, Infinera, Nokia, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of DWDM, SONET, OTN, and MPLS transport technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with planners and engineers.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with OSS/NMS systems used for provisioning and transport operations.
• Prior work in large-scale telecom or carrier-class environments.
• Strong written and verbal documentation skills.
