Advanced OB Technician - Labor & Delivery PRN

Join a dedicated healthcare team providing compassionate, patient-centered care across various departments including Labor & Delivery, Emergency, ICU, Imaging, and more. This role involves direct patient care and supportive tasks under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, emphasizing safety, communication, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform individualized patient care such as vital signs monitoring, assisting with hygiene, feeding, mobility, and specimen collection.
  • Support specialized areas including Emergency Department duties like phlebotomy and EKG testing, ICU monitoring and clerical tasks, and imaging assistance.
  • Assist in obstetrical procedures including scrubbing for deliveries, maintaining sterile fields, newborn hearing screens, and specimen preparation for state labs.
  • Provide continuous patient observation and verbal redirection as a telesitter when assigned.
  • Maintain compliance with universal precautions, biohazard disposal, and patient privacy regulations.
Education and Experience
  • Completion of one of the following: nurse assistant training program, six months nurse assistant experience, EMT or Advanced EMT experience, or successful completion of first semester nursing school clinical.
  • Preferred: One year nurse assistant experience in acute care, CNA certification, and Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) certification.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Healthcare Provider BLS certification through AHA or ARC required before start date.
