OB Registered Nurse

Schedule

This position offers 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week, with all rotating shift schedules.

Job Description

The OB Registered Nurse provides direct care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients of varying risk levels in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team in labor and delivery. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a commitment to patient and family-centered care. In addition to the primary responsibilities in this unit, employees will be oriented and trained to various competencies across the OB service. There is an expectation to float among units to meet variable needs based on volume and acuity.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in labor and delivery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient management.
• Float among units as needed based on patient volume and acuity.
• Participate in training for various competencies and modes of care within the OB service.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN License in New York.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery; OR and triage experience highly desired.
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Certification.
