Qualifications

• State License Compact licenses are allowed. License must be in hand at time of application.
• Certifications BLS (AHA). Willing to obtain allowed for BLS (AHA).
• Certifications ACLS (AHA). Willing to obtain allowed for ACLS (AHA).
• Certifications C-EFM
• Certifications STABLE. Willing to obtain allowed for STABLE.
• Certifications CPI
• Certifications NIHSS (NIH)
• Specialty Experience 1+ years of experience in Labor & Delivery in last 3 years.
• Skills Assessment LAD skills assessment with 2.7+ score.
• References 1 Supervisor reference within the last 2 years. 1 Charge RN reference within the last 2 years.
• Additional Confirmations I am willing to float.
• Additional Confirmations I have not worked as a permanent employee or traveler of this health system in the past year.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with administration of blood and blood products, anticoagulation therapy, and antihypertensives is required.
• Additional Confirmations Proficiency in APGAR scores, assisting with vaginal delivery, and acting as a baby nurse (baby catcher) is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with Cesarean sections, circulating for C-sections, and recovering C-sections is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with collecting cord samples, cord care, and couplet care is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with epidural anesthesia, episiotomy/incisional care, and fundus/lochia/perineum care is required.
• Additional Confirmations Proficiency in Foley catheter insertion/management and forceps/vacuum extraction is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with general anesthesia, hemorrhage/shock, and pregnancy-induced hypertension is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with ID/security banding and infant identification is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with magnesium sulfate therapy, pitocin (oxytocin), prostaglandins, and terbutaline is required.
• Additional Confirmations Proficiency in newborn assessment, newborn hypoglycemia, and NST (non-stress tests) is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with pain assessment and management is required.
• Additional Confirmations Proficiency in radiant warmers/thermoregulation and reflex checks/edema assessment/clonus is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with spiral electrode placement and sterile vaginal exams is required.
• Additional Confirmations Proficiency in starting and maintaining IVs is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with thermoregulation and triage of obstetrical patients is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with the use of EFM (external fetal heart monitoring), external fetal monitoring, internal fetal monitoring, and IUPC (intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with the use of infusion pumps/drips/IV monitoring and PCA (IV) is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with vaginal delivery and wound assessment/care is required.
• Flu Vaccine (Current Season) Must be for the current flu season. Medical and religious declinations are accepted. Willing to obtain allowed.
• Travel Contract Local contracts within 50.0 miles not accepted.
• Requested Time Off Up to 7 days of time off can be requested.
