Join a dynamic, supportive Labor & Delivery (L&D) team in El Paso, Texas, for a 13-week travel nursing assignment. As an L&D RN (labor and delivery nurse / obstetrics nurse), you'll provide compassionate, evidence-based care to laboring mothers, newborns, and postpartum patients in a modern Maternal Level III hospital. Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730 – $1,820
• Location: El Paso, TX 79925 (4th floor, modern facility) — El Paso healthcare / Texas nursing job
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (June 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), with 1 call day per week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Two weekends per schedule
• Unit Makeup: 15 LDRs, 2 OBED, 5 recovery bays, 3 ORs, 5 antepartum
• Technology & EMR: GE fetal monitoring, Panda warmer, Hillrom labor beds; EMR: CPN and Meditech

Required Qualifications (Labor & Delivery RN / Travel Nurse)

• At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (L&D, maternity nurse, obstetrics nurse)
• Active RN license (must meet state requirements)
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (required)
• Experience circulating in the OR for C-section deliveries
• Postpartum care background preferred (postpartum nursing, recovery)
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Positive attitude, open-minded, and strong communication skills
• Dress code: Galaxy blue scrubs with facility patch; closed-toe shoes required

Key Responsibilities (Obstetrics / Perinatal Nursing)

• Provide direct patient care to laboring mothers, newborns, and postpartum patients
• Circulate in the OR for C-section deliveries and assist with intraoperative nursing tasks
• Assist with postpartum care, recovery, and discharge education
• Perform and assist with unit procedures: C-section, BTL, cerclage, D&C, inductions, mechanical dilators (Dilapan, cervical balloon)
• Support outpatient and OBED services such as Rhogam, iron infusion, antenatal steroids, and injections
• Adhere to unit protocols for Oxytocin administration, induction of labor, maternal hemorrhage, severe hypertensive/preeclampsia care, magnesium sulfate therapy, MEWS, and glucose management for diabetic OB patients
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using CPN and Meditech EMR systems
• Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment and participate in multidisciplinary perinatal care
