Unit Description:
Join a dynamic 25-bed Labor & Delivery unit, which also includes Postpartum, Newborn Care, two Operating Rooms, two Recovery Rooms, and two Antepartum Units.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Care
- Familiarity with circulating during procedures
- Current Massachusetts RN License
- Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and EFM (for Labor & Delivery, every 2 years)
- AHA ACLS preferred
Clinician to Patient Ratios:
- Labor & Delivery: 1:2-3 for evaluations, 1:1 during active labor, and for patients with Magnesium infusions or epidurals
- Postpartum: 1:3-4
Facility Details:
- 5 Labor & Delivery rooms
- 12 Postpartum rooms
- 2 Operating Rooms
- 2 Recovery Rooms
- 2 Antepartum Unit rooms with a total of 4 beds
Average Daily Census:
- 15-25 mothers, babies, and labors
Additional Details:
- EMR System: EPIC
- Floating: Not required
- This position involves rotating shifts, with a primary focus on daytime hours and occasional evening and night shifts due to union agreements.
