Description:
The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers.
The role ensures that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized high-quality, safe patient care.
Clinical practice is guided by established models and supported through evidence-based practices and research.
RN Clinical Nurses are required to be licensed, knowledgeable, and compliant with nursing practices and ethical standards.
The individual upholds the voice of the patient and follows system policies and procedures.
Core responsibilities include performing the nursing process, conducting assessments, and developing individualized care plans.
Patient-centered care is delivered in relation to specific population characteristics.
The RN Clinical Nurse partners with patients and significant others, using appropriate communication methods.
Collaboration among the healthcare team is essential for safe and quality patient care.
Timely documentation and participation in interdisciplinary communication methods are crucial.
The RN Clinical Nurse must contribute to performance improvement initiatives and support shared governance.
Engagement in professional development activities is expected.
