Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN experience; 2+ years of travel nursing experience preferred
• Active RN license (Florida RN license or compact state license accepted)
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP required; PALS required (may be obtained within 30 days of start)
• AWHONN certification preferred (can be completed onsite)
• Experience across L&D, postpartum, nursery, and Mother/Baby (perinatal and postpartum care)
• Must be flexible to float to other units as needed
• AHCA clearance required for Florida placements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive Labor & Delivery nursing care during antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases
• Perform mother and newborn assessments, monitor fetal status, and support safe deliveries and neonatal stabilization
• Apply the nursing process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care
• Maintain current clinical competencies through continuing education and required certifications
• Delegate care and provide direction/supervision to assigned personnel based on staff education and experience
• Float to other units as facility needs require, supporting broader hospital nursing teams
