Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery (Obstetrics) position in Charleston, SC, requiring OR circulating experience and the ability to practice at the full scope of a Labor Nurse.

Details

• Hospital-based Obstetrics / Labor & Delivery unit
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 40 hours per week, 5 days per week
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• Ability to circulate in an OR is required; ability to scrub is preferred
• Charting performed in Cerner
• Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required

Requirements

• Active RN license in SC or a compact state (candidate must not be a permanent SC resident holding only a compact license)
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Current NRP certification required
• All certifications must be from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• OR circulating experience required
• Ability to practice at the highest end of Labor Nurse scope is essential
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and act as a patient advocate throughout the care continuum
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care
• Provide patient and family education and evaluate effectiveness of teaching
• Perform scrub for OB OR procedures as needed
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Travelers who have been on assignment for one calendar year must take a 30–60 day break before returning to a new assignment at this facility
• First-time traveler eligibility is not specified for this position
