Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a high-risk perinatal facility, requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and active Epic proficiency.

Details

• Position is located at the Pavilion for Women and Children (Pacific Campus), a comprehensive maternity facility with a Level II NICU
• High-risk perinatal unit with 19 L&D beds, 10 antepartum beds, 30 postpartum beds, 3 ORs, 2 PACUs, and a 7-bay triage area
• Staffing ratios: 1:1 in labor, 1:3 couplets in postpartum with CNA support, and 1:2-3 in antepartum
• Triage is staffed with 3 skilled RNs per shift; 3 CNAs per shift assist in postpartum
• 24/7 coverage includes 3-4 delivering providers, 2 CRNAs, and 2 Health Unit Coordinators
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Weekends required
• Float required to postpartum
• No on-call responsibilities
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Active WA RN license or compact RN license recognized in Washington state
• Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring
• Sterile vaginal exam (SVE) competency is a hard requirement
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience at a facility performing 200+ deliveries per year is strongly preferred; candidates with experience at facilities performing 100–200 deliveries per year may be considered
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty and setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides high-risk perinatal nursing care across labor, delivery, antepartum, and postpartum settings
• All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are not accepted for this position
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront; post-offer RTO requests may be denied
• Scrub color: any color permitted except reddish-orange
• Facility-paid parking
