Job Description:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor/Delivery provides comprehensive care for patients, ensuring safe and effective treatment according to AWHONN guidelines. This unit features 5 L&D beds, a triage bed, 3 postpartum beds, and experiences approximately 340 annual deliveries. Nurses must exhibit independence across all areas of care and work collaboratively as a supportive team.
Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care in L&D, Postpartum, and Routine Nursery settings.
• Monitor fetal strips using central monitoring system.
• Titrate drips such as Pitocin, insulin, and Mag Sulfate as necessary.
• Function as backup for team members, ensuring seamless patient care.
• Adapt quickly to varying unit demands and patient needs.

Requirements:

• Oregon RN License (or 90 Day Emergency License)
• BLS Certification, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Experience in L&D, Postpartum, and Intermediate Nursery care
• Ability to independently manage patient care
• Strong nursing skills and teamwork capabilities
