• Monitor and assess the health status of mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.
• Administer medications, including pain relief, as prescribed, and perform venipuncture for blood draws and IV placements.
• Provide hands-on support during the delivery process, ensuring the safety and comfort of the mother and baby.
• Educate patients on labor processes, pain management techniques, and post-delivery care.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
• Deliver specialized care for patients with additional needs, such as ostomy care or infectious disease management.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in electronic health record systems.
• Uphold sterile techniques and adhere to all safety protocols to ensure a secure birthing environment.

Candidate requirements

• Current nursing license in good standing.
• Experience in acute care settings , with previous labor and delivery experience preferred .
• Knowledge of workers' compensation law as it pertains to maternal health is a plus.
• Familiarity with dermal fillers is beneficial for postpartum aesthetic considerations.
• Ability to care for patients with diverse needs, including those requiring PICU services .
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment .
• A compassionate demeanor and unwavering commitment to patient-centered care.
