Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Goldsboro, NC, requiring at least 1 year of L&D experience and the ability to circulate for C-sections and perform OB triage.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting, featuring a 6-bed department with one dedicated C-section OR
• Unit averages approximately 100 deliveries per month, working with both OBGYNs and midwives
• Responsibilities include managing laboring patients, circulating and assisting in C-sections, and recovering both labor and surgical patients
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Block scheduling will be considered
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Every other holiday (EOH) required
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active NC RN license or a compact RN license valid for practice in North Carolina
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA or ARC), NRP, NIHSS, and CPI-A
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Ability to circulate for C-sections and perform OB triage required
• Minimum education: Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program (BSN or MSN preferred)
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary teams to support continuity and quality of care
• Assess and address patient and family education needs, discharge planning, and cultural considerations
• Participate in unit performance improvement activities and promote cost-effective, safe patient care
• Background check and drug screen are required; candidates should be prepared to report for drug screening within 24 hours of committing to the role
