Job specification

• Oversee daily operations of the labor and delivery unit, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
• Provide leadership, support, and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering a collaborative and professional environment.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with best practices in maternal and neonatal care.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
• Monitor patient outcomes, ensuring compliance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.

Candidate requirements

• Candidates must have graduated from an accredited nursing school with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• A minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience and one to two years of management experience is required.
• A current Nevada RN license and ACLS, NRP, and BCLS certifications are mandatory.
• Applicants must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate patient care.
• Employees in this role as of July 1, 2020, have until January 1, 2022, to obtain a BSN.
