RN - Labor and Delivery (L&D)
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Shifts Per Week: 3
Scheduled Hours: 36

End Date: 08/31/2026
Duration: 13 Weeks
Location: Del Sol Medical Center, El Paso, TX
Unit Information: 4th Floor, 15 Labor and Delivery Beds, 5 Recovery Bays, 3 Operating Rooms, 5 Antepartum Beds
Number of Staff: 52
Patient Ratios: Labor 2:1, Antepartum 4:1, PACU 2:1, PP 6:1
Call Requirements: Twice per schedule, Weekends (AM Saturday and Sunday and PM Friday and Saturday)
Type of Equipment: GE fetal monitoring, Panda warmer, Hillrom labor beds, EMR CPN and Meditech
Skill Set: L&D background with experience in circulating the OR for c-section deliveries, BLS, ACLS, NRP
Procedures: C-section, BTL, cerclage, D&C, Inductions, mechanical dilators (dilapan and cervical balloon), outpatient services such as Rhogam, iron infusion, antenatal steroids, OBED
Dress Code: Galaxy blue scrubs with Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare patch
Unit Guidelines/Policies: L&D Oxytocin Protocol, Induction of labor, guidelines for care of the maternal hemorrhage patient, guidelines for care of the maternal severe hypertensive/preeclampsia patient, magnesium sulfate, MEWS, glucose management for the diabetic OB patient
Awards/Recognition: Maternal level III designation, mother friendly facility
