Key Responsibilities of the RN - Labor and Delivery

• Manage Labor and Delivery, Mother Baby, Newborn Nursery, and Couplet Care
• Assist with Gynecology surgery patients
• Float to Med/Surg and assist with tasks if needed
• Perform all responsibilities within the RN scope for laboring patients, triage, and mother-baby care
• Validate initial baby assessments and provide support to LPNs
• Coordinate with Transfer Coordinator for additional support

Requirements of the RN - Labor and Delivery

• BLS and NRP certifications
• Fetal Heart Monitoring certification
• Experience in Labor and Delivery and OB units
