UNC Health Rex Nurse Residency Program

This position qualifies for the UNC Rex Incentive Program, offering: up to $25,000 in tuition loan forgiveness and up to $5,000 in relocation assistance (based on location).
We are seeking newly graduated registered nurses who:
- Have less than 12 months of nursing experience
- Are licensed (or will be licensed soon) as an RN in North Carolina

Unit Spotlight: Labor & Delivery OR
At UNC Rex Labor & Delivery OR, you'll care for patients throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery—including high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients.
Unit features include:
- 3-bay OB Emergency Department (OBED)
- 20 Labor & Delivery rooms
- 3 Operating Rooms
- 3 PACU bays
You'll circulate C-sections and collaborate closely with:
- Physicians
- OB Hospitalists
- Certified Nurse Midwives
- Nursing Assistants & Surgical Technologists
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:1 – 1:2
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing, RN licensure in North Carolina by first day of clinical care, BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers certification
Position Summary
As a Clinical Nurse, you'll provide compassionate, evidence-based care while coordinating and delivering patient-centered nursing services. You'll report to the Nurse Manager or Director and play a vital role in delivering exceptional care in a hospital setting.
