Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts: 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM or 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Weekend rotation every 4th weekend required
• Holiday expectations every other holiday
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating to other units
• Minimum 2 years LDRP experience required
• Will accept first-time travelers
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring
• Patient ratios: 1:1 laboring, 1:2 active labor, 1:3 couplets
• Care for patients 32 weeks and above, majority are lower risk
• Handle hypertension, magnesium administration, medication management for substance abuse, epidurals, elevated BMI, and diabetes cases
• Provide post-delivery care in same room and continue care post-delivery
• Perform cervical exams, amnio infusions, epidural assistance, fetal monitoring, IV starts/management, Pitocin administration, baby catching/receiving, APGAR assessments, and basic breastfeeding education
• Must be comfortable with all aspects of post-partum care from transition to discharge for mother and baby
• Experience with post-women's surgeries preferred
• Work with EPIC EMR system (preferred), Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and QS Centricity monitors
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Free parking available
• 1-2 day unit orientation with NEO program
• Schedule created 6 weeks at a time by Lead RN, received 2 weeks prior to schedule beginning
• RTO requests approved with 7 days notice
Facility:
This 131-bed healthcare facility serves as a Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center, providing comprehensive medical services to the community. The Women's Health and OB Services department features 12 LDRP rooms, 2 triage rooms, 2 operating rooms, and a 10-bed Level II NICU. The facility averages 60-80 births per month and offers 24/7 support including anesthesia, neonatal nurse practitioners, hospitalists, respiratory therapy, and lactation consultants during day hours.
