Local Grocery Delivery (CLASS A)

Location: We0stfield Position Overview Join a dedicated grocery account delivering fresh and frozen products to supermarkets and distribution centers throughout the Northeast. This position offers steady freight, modern equipment, strong local management, and consistent earning potential. Delivery Area Routes operate within approximately 250 miles of Chester, New York, including: New York Hudson Valley Long Island New York City (after required training) Connecticut New Jersey Backhaul pickups may also include Pennsylvania NYC Routes Only 2025% of deliveries go into NYC. New drivers will not run NYC routes for the first 6 months. Before running NYC solo, drivers receive training from NYC-certified trainers. Job Duties Deliveries Haul fresh and frozen grocery freight in: 48 ft reefer trailers 51 ft reefer trailers 53 ft reefer trailers Typical Workload Multi-stop routes (15+ stops per week) Usually: 2 local loads per day, or 1 longer route per day Return Freight Pick up returned product at final stop, or Pick up backhaul freight returning to the distribution center Equipment Automatic and manual day cabs Trucks average 3 years old or newer Slip-seat operation Drivers may share trucks with opposite-shift drivers Account will try to keep drivers in consistent equipment when possible Note: Trucks stay at the terminal and cannot be taken home. Freight Handling Mostly no-touch freight Customers typically unload Occasionally drivers may: Assist with unloading using a pallet jack Support nearby distribution center accounts (Pallet jack training provided.) Drivers can expect to support other accounts 23 days per week when needed.
