Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Nashville, TN, requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM certification, working night shifts on a 13-week contract.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit located within a Women's and Children's building
• 12-bed unit with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Unit is staffed with RNs, a unit secretary, and OR techs
• Procedures performed include vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&C, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, and tub labor
• Documentation systems used are CPN and Meditech
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Schedule includes 3 weekend shifts and 1 on-call shift per assignment period
• Travelers are required to float first per unit floating policy

Requirements

• Active RN license — TN state license or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition, American Academy of Pediatrics card), and AWHONN Intermediate (not advanced) or CEFM/NCCEFM
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• Experience caring for laboring patients, newborns immediately post-delivery, and circulating/recovering C-section patients
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required for candidates from Florida or Missouri)

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Scrubs are not provided by the facility; required colors are Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray
• All certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date; AHA or ARC certifications are accepted
