Summary:

The Warehouse Driver will do the following- shipping and receiving, putting up stock and pulling inventory for orders and/or transfers, staging work-in-progress materials, cycle counting and shipment tracking, and making deliveries.

The responsibilities of the Warehouse Associate/Driver position include, but are not limited to:

  • Shipping and receiving materials
  • Marking incoming materials and assigning work orders generated by the coordinator
  • Staging work in progress materials
  • Preparing and packaging subcontract work for delivery
  • Making deliveries in the company (DXP) truck
  • Loading and unloading materials
  • Picking up parts from vendors
  • Inputting data into the computer and maintaining accurate records
  • Operating a forklift (in house training provided)

Qualifications for the Warehouse Associate/Driver role include, but are not limited to:

  • 1 year of quality control and inventory experience
  • Must be detail oriented and dependable
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong customer service and computer skills
  • Acceptable driving record according to company guidelines
  • Ability to complete a physical, drug screen, and background check
  • Valid driver's license (no special license required)
  • Comfortable driving for deliveries and vendor pickups

Additional Information

  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must maintain a clean driving record.
  • Working Conditions: Repair shop environment.
  • Training/Certifications: Current driver's license required. Forklift training provided in house.
  • Travel: N/A (local deliveries only)
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
