Supervisor Nursing Unit
Under the supervision and cooperation of the Director, the supervisor oversees the daily processes of the nursing unit to ensure that safe, evidence based care is provided. The supervisor contributes to the overall corporate objectives by providing leadership to the unit, assisting with financial management and maintaining policies. The supervisor will assess, assist with implementation, and evaluate the associate's education needs to promote quality patient outcomes. Alongside the unit educator the supervisor implements processes to support evidence-based practice in the delivery of quality health care enhancing patient satisfaction and quality goals. The supervisor is also responsible to lead activities that prepare and maintains the organizations accreditation for Baby Friendly by working in collaboration with all departments to promote excellence in regulatory requirements, organizational goals, and operations. Additionally, the supervisor is responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintaining quality metrics tied to reimbursement programs.
Minimum Education Required:
Current Kansas Registered Nurse License Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Knowledge of general nursing and practice.
Current registered nurse licensure in the State of Kansas or has work permit from the State Board of Nursing.
BLS certification required or must complete BLS certification with in the first two weeks of employment.
Additional certification may be required for certain patient care settings or populations.
Minimum of one year experience caring for OB patients
Maintains ACLS certification, NRP and AWHONN fetal monitoring
Preferred:
Certification in nursing related to perinatal practice
Related supervisory experience
Master's degree
