Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) for a travel assignment at a large Magnet-designated acute care hospital. The ideal candidate will have strong Labor & Delivery experience in high-volume hospital settings and be confident performing circulating duties and sterile vaginal exams.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery
• Assist physicians during labor, delivery, and obstetric procedures
• Perform sterile vaginal exams and labor assessments
• Circulate during cesarean sections and obstetric surgical procedures
• Administer medications, treatments, and patient education
• Respond appropriately to obstetric emergencies and changes in patient condition
• Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary maternal-child healthcare teams

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• First-time travelers will not be considered
• Must be able to:
  • Circulate
  • Perform sterile vaginal exams
• Experience in large hospital settings highly preferred
• Active California RN license required
• Certifications required:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NRP
  • AWHONN Intermediate
• AWHONN Advanced preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
