Job Description:

The RN in the Labor/Delivery (L&D) unit provides comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to work independently, and effective collaboration with team members. The RN will support patients and families through all stages of childbirth.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care in the L&D, postpartum, and routine nursery settings.
• Assist with Pitocin induction/augmentation, insulin drips, and Mag Sulfate administration as required.
• Maintain central monitoring for fetal strips and collaborate with ICU staff for maternal cardiac monitoring.
• Participate in unit-specific orientation and adhere to scrub color/dress code policies.

Requirements:

• Oregon License Required (OR 90 Day Emergency License applicable).
• BLS and NRP certifications required.
• Must be proficient in L&D, postpartum, routine nursery, and intermediate nursery care.
• Ability to titrate drips and adapt to varying levels of unit activity.
