Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an LDRP position requiring a CO or compact RN license, with rotating day and night shifts in a Level 2 Nursery setting.

Details

• Rotating shifts covering days (0700–1900) and nights (1900–0700); travelers may be assigned either shift
• LDRP unit covering antepartum, labor and delivery, recovery, postpartum, and Level 2 Nursery
• Patient population includes laboring patients, postpartum mothers, well newborns, and Level 2 Nursery neonates
• Responsibilities span all phases of perinatal care, including lactation education and family-centered care
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CO RN license or valid compact state RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, NRP, and ACLS
• Minimum 1 year of clinical L&D/LDRP experience required
• Minimum Associate's Degree in Nursing required (for positions hired after 07/01/2018)
• Ability to frequently lift up to 35 lbs

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include triage, patient education, medication administration, treatments, and procedure assistance
• Collaborates with physicians, staff, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Delegates care appropriately in accordance with Colorado nursing statutes
• Provides lactation support and education as part of a family-centered care model
• Must demonstrate strong critical thinking, prioritization, and independent work skills
• HIPAA compliance is required
