SUMMARY

The Special Events CDL Driver Technician is responsible for operating company vehicles, including commercial-grade vehicles, to transport, deliver, and set up event trailers. Perform any necessary repair work on sanitation equipment according to company standards. In addition, a ssist with yard duties and preventative maintenance to ensure sanitation equipment and yard remain in safe and good working condition.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include but are not limited to the following .


Operate company vehicles and commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently. Perform pre-trip/post -trip vehicle inspection and report deficiencies to management immediately. Hooking up and towing restroom trailers to job sites/events, positioning trailers safely. Set up restroom trailers connecting utilities; water & power if needed. Inspect all tools assigned to the truck to ensure safe and proper working conditions. Quality check on all special event equipment prior to delivery. Check loads to ensure that all equipment is fastened safely. Operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up special event equipment. Perform customer service interaction when on the work site to confirm delivery & setup of special event equipment and to ensure customer satisfaction. Troubleshoot and repair special event equipment as needed on-site. Maintain contact with Yard Supervisor for any additional instructions, changes to work locations, etc. Assist the team with routine repair work on portable restrooms, event trailers, and all other sanitation equipment. Report any problems found with equipment immediately to the Yard Supervisor. Stock the portable restrooms with soap, toilet paper, paper towels etc. Operate forklift for loading & unloading of materials and equipment. Unload supply shipment and stock materials. Follow all company policies and procedures and ensure a safe working environment. Other projects assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Minimum of 2 years of driving a company vehicle safely. Commercial license A is required. Ability to tow trailers, set up, and break down. Basic mechanical repair and troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of sanitation equipment. Ability to solve problems effectively. Ability to effectively communicate with customers. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Less than high school education; or up to two years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and write English, interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. They should also be able to speak English effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Basic Spanish skills is a plus.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Class A license required.

Compensation details: 20-24 Hourly Wage
