Education Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• At least 3 years of experience in OB, Postpartum, and/or L&D
• Required certifications:
• BLS
• NRP
• STABLE

Position Summary:

A professional caregiver responsible for planning and directing care and teaching using established nursing processes. Acts as a liaison between physicians, patients, and families. Involves collaboration with healthcare team members and assists in onboarding new personnel. Potential participation in health center and department committees. Demonstrates necessary knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments, including safety and educational needs
• Establish and communicate a collaborative plan of care with other disciplines
• Implement and evaluate plans based on patient goals, modifying as needed
• Complete all documentation according to standards, using established tools
• Assess patient and significant other readiness to learn, implementing individualized education plans
• Participate actively in departmental initiatives, such as in-service opportunities or committee projects
• Provide age-appropriate care for specific populations
• Perform all functions per policies, procedures, and professional standards, ensuring an excellent service experience

Skills and Experience:

• At least 3 years of experience in OB, L&D, and/or Postpartum
• Active unencumbered RN OH License
